# Update a business

> Update a business's name, size, location, logo and email settings.

Updates the key settings of a business: name, size, location, logo and outgoing email configuration.

## Path parameters

**business\_id** `integer` *required*

ID of the business to update.

## Query parameters

**site** `string` *required*

Website URL of the business, for example `https://www.your-domain.com`. Required, but it cannot be changed after the business is created.

**name** `string` *required*

Official business name, shown on the platform.

**country** `integer` *required*

Country ID — the `value` field from [Get countries](https://getfaceage.com/docs/api-reference/business/get-countries.md).

**business\_size** `string` *required*

One of `small`, `medium`, `large`, `very_large`.

**after\_analyze\_status** `boolean`

Nullable. `true` or `false`.

**logo** `string`

Nullable. Logo path returned by [Upload a logo](https://getfaceage.com/docs/api-reference/business/upload-logo.md), for example `/images/logo.png`.

### Email settings

These parameters configure the email account the business uses to send messages.

**mail\_mailer** `string`

Mailer protocol, for example `smtp`.

**mail\_host** `string`

Host address of the mail server, for example `smtp.yourmailprovider.com`.

**mail\_port** `integer`

Mail server port, for example `587` for TLS or `465` for SSL.

**mail\_encryption** `string`

Encryption protocol, for example `TLS` or `SSL`.

**mail\_username** `string`

Username used to authenticate with the mail server.

**mail\_password** `string`

Password for the mail account.

**mail\_from\_name** `string`

Display name for outgoing emails.

**mail\_from\_address** `string`

Address outgoing emails are sent from, for example `noreply@your-domain.com`.

## Response

**status** `boolean`

`true` when the business is updated.

**data** `integer`

`1` when the update succeeds.
